Gosai-ori Bath Towel [Kuniyoshi-ga-sha-doro].
[This towel is made in Imabari using a special weaving technique called “Gosai-ori” (five-color weaving). The three primary colors are red, blue, and yellow, and white and black, which represent light and dark colors. The full color is expressed by combining the six colors: red*blue*yellow, white*black, and brown, which connects the colors.
When viewed up close, the pile is an aggregate of six colors, but when viewed as a whole, each color is mixed to reproduce a variety of colors.
The greatest appeal of this yarn-dyed fabric is its sense of luxury and depth, and its dense, three-dimensional texture.
The towels also meet the quality standard of Imabari towels, [excellent water absorbency], and are very comfortable to use.
The towel looks like a picture, so it can be displayed on the wall, hung on the sofa, or enjoyed as an interior decoration.
