These slippers are made of 100% French linen, which is considered the highest quality of all linen fabrics. The raw material is flax grown in northern France, which is blessed with beautiful water and climate. Jacquard weaving of linen is very rare, and a herringbone pattern as large as this is not often seen. The fabric is dyed by hand by craftsmen with techniques unique to Enshu, and then sun-dried in the Enshu region’s strong winds [Enshu gale] and plenty of sunlight. These luxurious slippers are made of a unique color and deeply textured fabric that is carefully dyed in small quantities over a long period of time. The inside of the slippers are made of rush mats, so they can be used comfortably all season long without getting stuffy. Two color schemes, natural beige and brown, are available. Made in Japan.
